First of all, on summers, I do not work weekends, which is why we have a new segment called "Over The Weekend". Since I missed the big event on Friday, that will also be in here.
Three major events happened this weekend. First, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin announced her resignation from office, saying that she does not want to be a lame duck. The funny thing is that she does not want our troops to pull out of Iraq, but instead, finish the job. Second, it was the 4th of July on Saturday. Happy 233rd birthday America. Lastly, former QB of the Tennessee Titans and Baltimore Ravens was shot to death in his Nashville condo. He and a suspected girlfriend was found shot to death in the condo, with the girlfriend having the gun in her hand. How many psychotic women can God put on this Earth? This has led me to one conclusion, and that is the world has gone mad, and that the end is near. (What may have also helped is watching the movies "Evolution" and "Independce Day" this weekend.)
